Massage has a role to play in
both helping to avoid muscle injury and the rehabilitation of people
already suffering from it. Massage can help to release the
tension in muscles, stimulating the flow of blood and freeing up
nerves.
Depending on the location of the muscle(s), a
combination of traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and
finger pressure techniques, can help to relieve pain and restore
full freedom of movement to the affected area.
Massaging the neck and shoulders
can also help prevent repetitive strain injury problems building up
in the hands and arms. The arms are then mobilised by means of
stretches to increase their range of movement and to help relieve
any pressure on the nerves.
